Annual 5K
We’ve been hosting this event since 2016. Our 5K is a great way to tell multiple people about Roy’s Kids and show them how they can impact a child’s life. Our next race will be on December 10, 2023 at Betty Virginia Park in Shreveport, Louisiana. Stay tuned for more information and join for some exercise and fun.
Back-to-School Supply Collection
We run our school supply collection year-round in Shreveport, Louisiana. We accept donations year round. Our backpack drive and school for 2023 was very successful. We were able to assist 10 area teachers with their Amazon list. We provided backpacks and school supplies to 800 children.
Holiday Toy Drive
Modeled after Toys for Tots, we host our toy drive so underprivileged kids can look forward to Christmas. Roy’s Kids collects toys all year long to give to children in the community. We accept applications for wish lists from families from October 22, 2023 through November 03, 2023.
Bike, Bikes and More Bikes
Throughout the year, we collect bikes for children without. We give them away at Christmas and when anyone let’s us know they need one. We’ve been known to find bikes for people who are walking to work. Our hope is that if we can help them help themselves that’s a great thing.
Annual Auction
Each year, we invite our supporters to a night of fun, food and friendly competition to raise funds for Roy’s Kids. There is no way I can thank everyone involved because there are too many. This is our biggest fund raiser and without it we would not be able to do near as much as we do.
Give for Good
Give For Good is a 24-hour online giving challenge that brings North Louisiana together to benefit our local nonprofits. Whether you give a little or a lot, be a part of our area’s largest day of giving.
